Welcome

Freedom to live without violence.  Freedom to live in your own home in peace.  Freedom from the fear of what another can do to you.  Have power once again over your life, your body, your present, your future and your happiness.  This is what Freedom House stands for.  Freedom House exists to serve survivors of family and sexual violence.  We are located in Weatherford, which is in Parker County.  To receive services from Freedom House you just have to want to overcome either family or sexual violence or both.

Thank you for visiting this site.  One in three women will experience violence at the hand of a partner in her life.  One in three women will survive sexual violence.  There is a good chance that either you or someone you know has been in or is currently in a relationship that hurts them.  The same goes for sexual violence.

If you are male and visiting us, there is a good chance that you too may be a survivor or know someone who is.  One out of seven males is a victim of sexual violence.  Men can also be victims of family violence.  And many men have grown up in violent homes.  You are very welcome here.

Whether you are female or male, you can be a part of the solution.  It doesn’t matter how old or how young you are.  You can choose to live your life without violence.  You can choose cooperation and communication.  You can control your own life and your personal power.  You can choose not to try and control others.  And you can choose to receive help.  Be a survivor and remember we are here.  Call our office at 817-596-7543 or our 24 hour hotline at 817-596-8922.  We listen and you are welcome.
